Pay attention to random thoughts and feelings. Keep a journal handy at all times and try to write down those thoughts that seem to come out of nowhere. You may notice after a while those patterns tend to emerge. Thoughts that initially seemed completely random and unconnected; now started to form themes and recognizable ideas.
While meditating and listening carefully, just concentrate on the variable thoughts and feelings that flutter across the mind.
